Stickyz Rock 'N' Roll Chicken Shack is the small room in the River Market where most Little Rock bands play their first real show — and where plenty of touring indie acts play the city before they outgrow it. It shares ownership and a block with the Rev Room, so the two venues trade shows constantly.

The space: A long, dark club holding a few hundred people, with the stage at one end and the restaurant and bar filling the front. Sight lines are good because nothing is far from the stage. It doubles as a full restaurant during the day, so the room smells like fryer oil in the best way.

The food: Chicken fingers are the whole identity — hand-battered, served with a wall of dipping sauces. There are burgers, wraps, salads, and a solid beer list too, but ordering anything other than fingers on a first visit is a mistake. You can eat dinner and stay in your seat for the show.

The booking: Indie rock, punk, hip-hop, jam bands, singer-songwriters, tribute nights, comedy showcases, and recurring trivia. Our live music feed pulls Stickyz's calendar in automatically — see the Current Events section on the Music page for what's on sale.

Tickets: Most shows run $10–$25, cheaper than anywhere else downtown for this caliber of act. Buy at stickyz.com or at the door when a show isn't sold out. Doors are usually 8 PM with music around 9 PM, but weeknight and all-ages shows start earlier — check the specific listing.

Ages: It varies by show and is posted on each event page. Many shows are all-ages with a 21+ bar wristband; some late shows are 18+ or 21+ only. Bring a physical ID.

Parking: The River Market garages on Commerce and 2nd are the reliable option and run a few dollars after hours; free street parking opens up on the side streets past 6 PM but fills fast on weekends. Walking from a Clinton Avenue dinner spot takes two minutes.

Pro tip: Come early, eat at a table near the stage, and you keep the seat through the opener. Once the room fills, it's standing only.
